2008 Porsche Cayenne

Originally introduced in 2003, the 2008 Porsche Cayenne series sees some major styling changes. The car gets a whole new look with redesigned front and back. It comes fitted with a more powerful engine and yet is surprisingly more fuel efficient at the same time!

Porsche has managed to pull off a neat coupe with its 2008 Porsche Cayenne series. Flatter headlights, a front hood leading edge, restyled gaping lower grilles, and the tire range is now available from 17” to 21”, which is one inch more than previous models.

Available in three engine variants, the 2008 Porsche Cayenne series sees an engine upgrade, with the base model fitted with a V-6 3.6 liter engine that can produce 290 horsepower, the middle variant Cayenne S available with a V-8 4.8 liter engine that can produce 385 horsepower and a torque of around 369 pounds-feet, and the top end V-8 Cayenne Turbo 4.8 liter engine that is capable of generating 500 horsepower and 516 pounds-feet of torque.


2006 Porsche Cayenne

Introduced in 2003 to fill in as an SUV, the 2006 Porsche Cayenne is a hot mean machine that comes in three engine variants – a six valve base model, a 340 horsepower V-8 generating Cayenne S, and the Cayenne Turbo that punches out 450 hp on its twin-turbo V-8 engine.

For 2006, the Turbo gets new air inlets in the front, a double set of tailpipes, and power domes on its hood. This model can also be adjusted to six different ground clearances thanks to its pneumatic suspension. The series is available in varying tires from 17-20” wheels.

Of course, performance varies with different models which are priced at very different price points from each other. However, one thing remains constant. The drive is superb, and it has among the best handling patterns in this range.

An optional power kit is available for the 2006 Porsche Cayenne pushes the engine to its limit, extracting a whopping 500 hp from its otherwise 450 hp engine.

2005 Porsche Cayenne

The 2005 Porsche Cayenne series brings forth Porsche’s SUV offering in the premium luxury sports utility vehicle segment. There are three options available in the series – the Cayenne base model that comes with a 247 hp V-6 engine, a Cayenne S model that comes fitted with a 340 hp engine, and Cayenne turbo, the car that comes with a big 450 horsepower producing twin-turbo eight valve monster of an engine.

The 2005 Porsche Cayenne series is available with wheels ranging from 17” to 20”, and seats up to five people in its large interiors. The trunk holds around 19.1 cubic feet of luggage, and a foldable backseat allows one to have additional trunk space if required.

The '05 Cayenne Turbo can move from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds, and provides ample of power and torque for off road driving. The controls respond to the slightest command, giving you an exhilarating drive.
